Hello Sami,

Let’s wait until tomorrow just to be compliant with our procedures. I’ll then ask our CCSDS support team to instruct the poll. The area resolution was already issued roughly one month ago but I was advised to first run this consultation with CMC just in case any other candidates were proposed.

Best Regards

Dear Tomaso,

This is indeed OK with me. This is indeed handled by the CESG, not CMC.

Klaus-Juergen and Tim, please request setting up this poll.

Sami

Hello Sami, all,

Last reminder about this point. If I don’t get anything by the end of this week, I’ll assume you are all ok with the nomination of Beth St. Peter (NASA-MSFC) and request accordingly a CESG poll for her appointment as SIS-MIA WG deputy.

Thank you all again and see you in London in a couple of weeks,

Tomaso

Hello Sami,

The role of CMC here is about providing additional candidates if agencies are willing so, but then the approval is indeed on CESG.
We are in any case not late with this, we have now this window of 30 days and after that possibly we could have the approval at CESG level directly during the f2f in London.

Regards,

Tomaso

Dear Tomaso,

Thank you for pointing out to us that we fell behind on this, or essentially something fell through the cracks. Please accept my apologies.

We tried to reconstruct what happened, but it is better now to have a fresh start.

I thought the CMC handles the Area Directors nomination but Working Group nominations are handled at the CESG level. But I might be wrong.

We will send another email today to gauge any other potential replacements for the vacancy and request CVs with the names to accelerate the process.

Best,
Sami

Dear Sami, CMC colleagues,

As you probably may recall, some months ago I’ve asked you already to provide additional candidates for the selection of the SIS MIA WG chair, for which a CESG poll has been now already closed.

Given the fact that selected SIA MIA WG chair (Falk Schiffner) was formerly appointed as WG deputy chair, that position is now vacant and a replacement is needed. According to rules of our yellow book, I’ve first to check with CMC if agencies would like to propose any candidates in addition to the one already identified at WG level, i.e. Beth St. Peter (NASA-MSFC). In such a case, please indicate any additional candidates with a short CV by October 25th.

Thank you in advance for your help and support,

Best Regards,

Tomaso de Cola
