[CMC] SIS Resolution - SIS-R-2024-05-02 Request to remove Network Management blue and green book projects (734.4-B-1 and 730.3-G-1)

The CCSDS Space Internetwork Services (SIS) Area Director,

CONSIDERING that the Delay Tolerant Networking Working Group (DTN WG) has:

  *   Started a dedicated orange book project about DTN network management, which significantly differ from what outlined in the existing projects for a blue and green book (734.4-B-1 and 730.3-G-1);
  *   Agreed on the fact that the existing projects are not going to be further developed;
  *   Reached consensus on the fact that those two projects must be discontinued and canceled.

RESOLVES to request CMC to approve the removal of the existing projects for blue and green books around DTN network management (734.4-B-1 and 730.3-G-1).

RECOMMENDS that CMC approve this resolution and, finally

REQUESTS that CMC polls be conducted to approve the removal of these projects.
