[CMC] Soliciting Nominations for the Mission Operations Management Area (MOIMS) Area Director (AD)

Dear colleagues,

Please find the CV of NASA’s nominee for this role, Mr. Costin Radulescu, who many of you are familiar with from his current CCSDS work.

Since I received no indications from other agencies that they have candidates to nominate for this role, it seems we have two candidates to choose from, Daniel Fischer and Costin Radulescu.   Barring any last-minute additional nominations, we should now move to the selection process.  Our goal is to fill this role prior to the Spring meetings.

Dear CMC Members,

The CCSDS Secretariat solicits nominations for the open Mission Operations Management Area (MOIMS) Area Director (AD) position.  Keeping in mind that a candidate for this selection must be recognized as a leading technical expert in the field and have extensive prior experience leading a specific standards development task within the CCSDS, such as having served as a Working Group Chair or Deputy Chair.

The CMC makes nominations for CESG positions from the Agencies. Appointees may come from any organization and do not have to be employees of Space Agencies.  All CESG appointees must have a sponsor who will commit to supporting their salary and travel to CESG and Area coordination meetings.

Please submit your nomination for MOIMS AD by e-mailing the name of your candidate and his/her background experience
by April 4th, 2023.  After this is completed, a formal 2-week CMC poll will be held to vote on all candidates.
