[CMC Alert] CCSDS Review of CCSDS 732.1-P-2.1, Unified Space Data Link Protocol

The following draft CCSDS Recommended Standard has been placed on line for CCSDS Agency review:

     CCSDS 732.1-P-2.1. Unified Space Data Link Protocol. Pink 
                        Sheets. Issue 2.1. September 2023.

DOCUMENT DESCRIPTION:  This CCSDS Recommended Standard specifies the Unified Space Data Link Protocol (USLP) for use by space missions over space-to-ground, ground-to-space, or space-to-space communications links. The current draft update adds VC Packet and VC Access services, changes the maximum number of frames per CLTU from one to greater than one to match the Telecommand specification, and adds to the security section a table, a diagram, and text concerning the order of COP to SDLS, similar to the Telecommand specification.

The due date for receipt of Agency review comments by the CCSDS Review Coordinator is 1 November 2023.  More information is available at the Web site identified below.
