The following draft CCSDS Recommended Standard has been placed on 
line for CCSDS Agency review:

      CCSDS 353.0-R-1.  Symmetric Encryption.
                        Red Book.  October 2008.

DOCUMENT DESCRIPTION:  This draft Recommended Practice provides the 
basis for the use of a standard symmetric block-cipher encryption 
algorithm for civilian space missions

The due date for receipt of Agency review comments by the Review 
Coordinator is 2009-1-9.  More information is available at the Web 
site identified below.

The review document, in Portable Document Format (PDF), and
