CCSDS File Delivery Protocol Pink Sheets for Agency Review

The CMC,

CONSIDERING that the CFDP Interoperability Testing Working Group has 
identified issues in the CFDP specification that require resolution 
in order to remove ambiguity and ensure interoperability,

and RECOGNIZING that the WG has prepared Pink Sheets (CCSDS 
727.0-P-3.1) that resolve these issues,

and ACKNOWLEDGING that the SIS Area Director has approved the Pink 
Sheets (see attached),

AUTHORIZES the approval of the CFDP Pink Sheets for Agency review.

Results of CMC poll beginning 11 September 2006 and ending 25 September 2006:

                 ADOPT:  9 (100%) (ASI, BNSC, CNES, CSA, DLR, ESA, 
INPE, JAXA, NASA)
   ADOPT PROVISIONALLY:  0 (0%)
                REJECT:  0 (0%)
  REJECT WITH COMMENTS:  0 (0%)

Results are based on responses from 9 out of 10 members (90%).

CMC E-Poll Identifier:  CMC-P-2006-09-003: Approval to appoint new 
Deputy Area Director for the Spacecraft Onboard Interface Services Area

The CMC,

CONSIDERING that the CMC is responsible for appointing CCSDS Area 
Directors and Deputy Directors;

and RECOGNIZING that the SOIS Area Director has proposed the 
nomination of Mr. Chris Taylor (ESA) as Deputy Area Director;

and NOTING that Mr. Taylor will replace Mr. Chris Plummer;

Approves the appointment of Mr. Chris Taylor as Deputy Area Director of SOIS.

Results of CMC poll beginning 19 September 2006 and ending 25 September 2006:

                 ADOPT:  6 (85.71%) (ASI, CNES, DLR, ESA, INPE, JAXA)
   ADOPT PROVISIONALLY:  1 (14.29%) (BNSC)
                REJECT:  0 (0%)
  REJECT WITH COMMENTS:  0 (0%)

      BNSC:  Not a condition, but a question - is it appropriate for 
the area director and the deputy to both be from the same 
organisation (ESA in this case)? I do not mean to imply that the 
answer is "no", but I believe we should ask the question.

ITEM:
In section 6.7.5.6 there is a reference to destination filename 
conformance conventions that are defined in section 
6.7.4.1.5.  However, sec 6.7.4.1.5 does not contain any references to 
file name conventions except dropping of the path name for local 
storage during SFO.  This reference should be corrected, it does not 
appear meaningful as constructed.
