Dear CCSDS Management Council members,

In the note below, CNES is considering a change to the schedule of the Spring 2012 meeting because of conflicts that have been identified with the Technical Working Groups. This would change...

· The Technical WG dates change from the week of April 8 to the week of April 15, 2012

· The CMC meeting dates change from April 15-17, and would now be on April 22-24.

This proposed change would resolve issues with several working groups (MIA, Voice, RFM) that cannot meet during the week of April 8. The CESG Chairs will provide a response on the feasibility of changing the Technical WG meeting dates.

You are invited to comment to me and Jean-Marc if you have some concerns or issues with the proposed change to the CMC meeting dates.

Best regards,

   -=- Mike

Subject: Spring 2013 CCSDS Meetings

Dear CMC and CESG chairmen,

following the receipt of Enrico's message below and remembering that another group had reported similar conflicts (MIA) some time ago, I have investigated again alternate options with the site in Bordeaux where we plan to organize the S-2013 meetings.
I just got a reply and it happens that they had some changes in their schedule and the required capacity now exists on the next week. However, they may have smaller meetings on same week.

Today, I have two options secured for a time:
option1 - working groups on April 08-11 // CESG on April 12 // CESG+CMC on April 15-17, 2013 (still the baseline)
option2 - working groups on April 15-18 // CESG on April 19 // CESG+CMC on April 22-24, 2013

Therefore, my question is:
if we change to option 2, will this be acceptable to all working groups or shall we create conflict situations for groups who were satisfied with option 1 ?

I leave to you to inquire and decide.

Need to give final answer within 7 to 10 days.
Thanks for your reply before then.

Best regards

Objet : Spring 2013 CCSDS Meetings

Dear Jean-Marc and Adrian:

I have just seen the announcement below and I was wondering if there still some margins for a date change. Unfortunately, the ITU WP7B meeting in Geneva is during the same week (April 8-12) and given that all the frequency bands currently in use or planned to be used by space agencies are being considered by others, strong participation to the ITU meeting is mandatory if we do not want to risk losing any of our bands.
A number of RFM WG members including myself will be in Geneva.

If for logistic reasons it is not possible to change the meeting week, I will have to consider not having the RFM WG Spring meeting or having it at a different location and time.

Sorry for this which is beyond my control.

Regards, Enrico
