CMC E-Poll Identifier: CMC-P-2012-02-003
Authorization to approve the draft minutes from
the November 2012 CMC meeting in Moscow
Results of CMC poll beginning 28 February 2012 and ending 13 March 2012:
ADOPT: 2 (33.33%) (NASA, UKSA)
ADOPT PROVISIONALLY: 4 (66.67%) (CNES, DLR, INPE, JAXA)
REJECT: 0 (0%)
REJECT WITH COMMENTS: 0 (0%)
CNES: CNES provisions were sent to the
secretariat in an email dated March 09, 2012.
DLR: please include all linked files in
the meeting folder (including as well CESG
report) and include the name of the files in the
report instead writing"see the following file"
INPE: It is suggested that the current
paragraph in item 16.1, may be -added- with basic
information discussed in the meeting that is now being expressed, as follows:
16.1 Liaisons: The CMC reviewed the SC 13
liaisons list and agreed that it was more
appropriate for the CESG to review the list and
propose individuals to act as liaisons for those
committees that are lacking a point of contact.
It was mentioned by the ISO TC20/SC13 Chairman,
Mr. Bergamini, that besides those ISO related
liaisons which are in need of confirmation and
definition of their internal (i) and external (e)
individuals associated to their liaison roles,
there are also other non-ISO entities, as also
presented in the meeting, which are in need of
such a confirmation and definition of the
bilateral liaison contact individuals. Mr.
Bergamini also mentioned that it will be probably
the case where some of the non-ISO liaisons may
end up being, if any, of interest for CCSDS only,
but not of interest for ISO TC20/SC13. The major
goal is that the list of liaisons may end up
being the same for CCSDS and ISO TC20/SC13 but,
with some clearly defined exceptions which will
represent those liaisons of CCSDS interest, only.
Associated, combined action items will be taken
by CCSDS and ISO TC20/SC13, for reaching a stable
list of liaisons, for both bodies, under the mentiioned, basic premises.
JAXA: Concerning the draft minutes of the
Moscow CMC meeting, JAXA would like to propose
deleting the sentence regarding the lunch
presentation mentioned by JAXA, which is on page 5, for 15.Meeting Planning.
JAXA raised this idea supposing that it was still
requested to suggest activities for the 30th
anniversary of spring 2012 meeting (Action of
CMC-A-2011-05-02). Since this is no longer
requested, we no longer need this sentence.
Alternate proposal is to replace the sentence with the following;
JAXA proposed an idea of lunch presentation on
international/regional activities on
space-technology-application. ESA will ask CMC
members if presentation is required. [Secretariat
Note: After further discussion after the Moscow
meeting, it was determined that a lunch presentation was no longer needed.]
