[CMC] JAXA tour on Friday

Dear CMC members:  The busy CMC agenda for Tuesday to Thursday does not
allow for any time for JAXA to provide tours during the planned meeting
period.  However, if there are enough CMC members interested in a tour
on Friday after the meeting is over, JAXA has offered to conduct such a
tour of Tsukuba Space Center facilities.   Unfortunately, the SSIPC (ISS
control room) is not available for tours.   The subject areas will
probably be:

 

1) Exhibition room with some previous and current satellite models

2) Test and development building for Space station (Nothing at moment)

3) Training pool for astronauts

4) Souvenir shops

 

If there are any CMC members who will be interested in staying for such
a tour on Friday June 20 (probably 1000 to 1200 hours), then please
reply to me and our JAXA colleagues.   

 

Please reply  very soon so that tour arrangements can be made.
