Thanks Adrian. I had not seen these documents before.

My first reactions are:
- we must proceed fast with the design of the follow-on of prox-1. Note that,
as per the commitment I took in October, I will circulate in a few days a
draft mission profiles document that addresses all those future communication
profiles that can probably not be fulfilled with the current CCSDS standards.
PROX is one of them.
- I would like that TDRSS be taken as a special topic at next CESG. We will
address it already within SLS in Washington. We would need to have inputs
from agencies (mostly from NASA) on coms profiles involving TDRSS in the
future (beyond current usage which is LEO).

Some of you may not yet have seen the attached minutes of the meeting
on Space Communications Interoperability, which was held in Geneva on
27October 2007.

I believe that the current plan is to hold the second
InterOperability Plenary (IOP-2) meeting in the 08-11 December, 2008
timeframe, possibly in Geneva. It will be attended by very high level
Agency representatives. The first IOP
(http://www.ioag.org/iop1_summary.html) was the convening body which
created the IOAG. The approximate current organizational
relationships are shown at http://www.ioag.org/org_relations.html. It
is possible that the IOAG membership may expand beyond the current
seven members (ISRO recently joined).

Best regards
Adrian
