[CMC] CNSA'S RESPONSE TO CCSDS MEMBERSHIP.

Dear Adrian,
 
I will not answer the epoll but use the email as I also wonder why there is an epoll on this as it seems the invitation to become a member was more or less sent without waiting for the end result of the questionning on this subject.
Nevertheless, your email in that respect has the advantage to remind that we have procedures and the members have rights and duties.
 
Of course, CNES like others think we must have China in the CCSDS.
All actions and resolutions that we have made in the last two years show this interest and the fact that there was some questionning on which Chinese agency should join at the CMC level as that agency should also federate or provide the ressources in the working groups.
Since then, we have admitted the CAS as an observer agency ... maybe with the assumption that they could become a member at a later stage. They already provided working forces at the last conference.
 
Today, the CNSA indicated an interest to join, appearently as a full member.
Therefore, I suggest that we invite CNSA to attend the next CMC and that, on that occasion they confirm their request and involvement.
