Dear CMC members,

The Agencies that provided comments to the e-poll are
requested to please review the dispositions stated below.
If no disagreements to the dispostions are received by 6
February, then the Secretariat will proceed with the
release of the document for Agency review.

*********

CMC E-Poll Identifier: CMC-P-2007-01-002: Authorization
to approve Asynchronous Message Service (AMS) for Agency
review

Results of CMC poll beginning 9 January 2007 and ending 31
January 2007:

ADOPT: 5 (50%) (ASI, CSA, INPE, NASA)
ADOPT PROVISIONALLY: 4 (50%) (BNSC, CNES, DLR, JAXA)
                REJECT: 0 (0%)
  REJECT WITH COMMENTS: 0 (0%)

BNSC: Also agree with comments from DLR

DISPOSITION [BNSC]: See DISPOSITION [DLR], below.

CNES: Two questions in fact for clarification
before the Agency Review:
- 1 - Which two prototypings were realized to consolidate
this Red-1 version of the AMS ?

- 2 - Isn't it worth waiting till the Red-1 version of the
"Messaging Abstraction Layer" (MOIMS/SM&C) is also ready
for agency review, so that both recommendations which have
obvious interfaces between them, are jointly reviewed
across the agencies ?

DISPOSITION [CNES1]: Prototype implementations are
required prior to release of Blue Books. No such
requirement holds for Red Books.

DISPOSITION [CNES2]: The AMS and SM&C WGs have agreed on
an approach with which the added value of parallel review
does not appear to justify delay of the AMS Red-1 review
(see DISPOSITION [DLR], below).

DLR: The agency review should wait the decision of
the colorado meeting. Most of the rids are said to be
clarified there. It makes no sense to ignore the
dispositions of the currently available RIDs and start
already the agency review.

DISPOSITION [DLR]: In discussions between AMS and SM&C
WGs in Colorado Springs, agreement was reached on the
following approach: to define multiple approved SM&C
protocol stack profiles in a series of magenta books, not
all of which would mandate AMS.

      JAXA: JAXA agrees with DLR

DISPOSITION [JAXA]: See DISPOSITION [DLR], above.

Results are based on responses from 8 out of 10 members
