Oliver,
I cannot agree with your report below.
CCSDS 350.1-G-1 was submitted to CMC without CESG approval; CESG review was
completed 14 April:
CCSDS 350.1-G-1 has been approved conditionally by SIS and SLS and only
after the 'conditions' are resolved will it be possible to submit it to CMC
for final approval.
I take the CMC voting is void.
best regards

CMC E-Poll Identifier: CMC-A-2006-03-001: Request for Data Compression
Requirements
Secretariat Interpretation of Results: Action Completed
Resulting CMC Resolution: TBD
Inferred Secretariat Action: Interpret Requirements
Agencies are requested to provide their data compression requirements (e.g.,
hyper-/multi-spectral, radar signal, etc.) for future missions that could be
developed by the SLS Data Compression WG into CCSDS Recommended Standards.
Results of CMC poll beginning 3 March 2006 and ending 14 April 2006:
Agency has no requirements at this time: 2 (50%) (INPE, JAXA)
Agency has the following future data compression requirements: 2 (50%) (ASI,
CNES)
ASI - ASI is interested in data compression for hyper/multi-spectral and SAR
data.
CNES - At CNES level, we may be interested in developing within CCSDS
framework a solution for hyper and multi-spectral images compression. This
assumes that the charter of the WG is revised or a new BOF is created.
