David & Tom,
In the interest of getting the CDM out on the street I am willing to let it go out with the current
security section. On the condition that the issues that I have raised, and anything that Howie has to add,
will get updated as a part of the Agency Review RID Disposition process. I do not much like this
approach, but it will be more expeditious.
Thanks, Peter

Peter:
CDM still in limbo. I sent the document to Howie, as I stated, and he said he would look at it. I
envisioned entering his comments as RIDs. I think Tom thinks you want the Security Section
revised before proceeding.
Can you clarify for the 3 of us?
Thx
David

I need an explicit statement from Peter that all his conditions are satisfied. Currently we are in the I do
think that there are still a few issues, particularly in the Security section, that need to be addressed
phase.

Tom:
I still see our CDM P-1.1 CESG Poll in the list of "Closed CESG Polls with Conditions still
Pending/Unsatisfied"... I guess I thought I had satisfied Peter's conditions and that he had
agreed to allow the document to proceed to the CMC Poll. Is there something more that I need
to do?
Just checking because I have a Nav WG telecon tomorrow morning and I want to give the
correct status...
Thx!
David

I will forward the Agency Review draft to Howie Weiss and request that he take a look at the
Security section of the document. Once the Agency Review starts, his comments will be entered
as RIDs.
Thanks

Hi David,
It appears that I made a mistake and somehow reviewed an old copy of the document. It also appears
that many of the issues I identified, particularly with the SANA registries, have been remedied. My
apologies to you for screwing up and for any unnecessary angst that my comments might have caused.
See attached.
I do think that there are still a few issues, particularly in the Security section, that need to be
addressed. If you will agree to address these as part of the Agency review I will agree to let it go out as
it is. I do not know if anyone else will pick up on this.
Best regards, Peter

Peter:
I haven't yet received the official results of the CDM P-1.1 Pink Book CESG Poll to approve
Agency Review, but I've prepared and attached some responses to the Conditions you've placed
on proceeding.
I've also attached a copy of the Pink Book that was attached to the Poll, with 3 artifacts
addressing your comment #1. I could have made more, obviously, but this shows what is
possible.
Several of your comments make me wonder if you were in fact reviewing the document
attached to the poll (?).
Regards,
David
