One month it is. Let’s just send a reminder in two weeks.

Hello Sami,

Thank you for the feedback. Let’s say that procedurally speaking, 1 month is what indicated in our yellow book but obviously if agencies can commit to indicate any other candidate or say ‘no candidate’ by July 15th would certainly allow to speed up the overall process. I can send another reminder in two weeks time and let’s see if additional 15 days are necessary as per CCSDS procedures or not.

Best Regards,

Tomaso

Thank you, Tomaso,

This is good to hear.

CCSDS is now open to receive nominations from agency delegates, if any, other than Falk, which we can now consider to be officially nominated by DLR for the WG chair role. Perhaps we can aim for no later than the middle of July.

Sami

Dear Sami, Colleagues of CMC,

As mentioned during the SIS area reporting during last week CMC meeting, Rodney Grubbs has concluded his NASA emeritus status on June 7th and since there the position of SIS-MIA WG chair is vacant. After some additional discussions within the WG, on Friday I’ve finally received the confirmation that the current WG deputy chair, i.e. Falk Schiffner (DLR), can take over such a role (there were initially some contractual issues that have been solved with his management) and indeed looking forward to starting working as new leader of the WG.

Nevertheless, in order to make the process fair and open to other nominations, I’d like to invite you all to check within your agencies whether you may want to indicate additional candidates for such a position. As usual, SIS-MIA being an already existing WG, I’d appreciate if you could return your indications until August 1st (i.e. for a window of 1 month starting from today).

Best Regards,
Tomaso
