Dear CMC,

Concerning:

Resolution SEA-R-2023-03-01, Requesting establishment of a CCSDS Liaison Relationship with the Space Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Space ISAC).

CONSIDERING that the CMC has responsibility for creating and managing liaison relationships;

and BELIEIVING that a liaison between CCSDS and the Space Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Space ISAC)
will be of value to CCSDS, the Systems Engineering Area (SEA), the SEA Security Working Group (SecWG), and the member agencies;

and RECOGNIZING that CCSDS A02.1-Y-4 section 2.3.1.2 give the CMC the responsibility of managing liaison relationships:

2.3.1.2 CMC Responsibilities

The CMC is specifically responsible for:

f)  managing the relationships between CCSDS and other standards organizations, via liaisons;

and;

2.3.1.4.3 CCSDS Liaisons

The CMC acts as representative of the interests of the CCSDS in formal liaison relationships with other organizations concerned with standards. Liaison organizations are those governmental or private enterprises that have their own developmental programs in the area of space data and information transfer systems and who wish to establish formal information- sharing relations with CCSDS.
Therefore

REQUESTS that the CCSDS Management Council:

-    Review the attached Space ISAC letter of intent, and

  *   Review the Space ISAC website re the organization, members, and roles, (https://s-isac.org/) and
  *   Approve the liaison relationship request between CCSDS and Space ISAC.
