[CESG] Resolutions CSS-R-2018-05-001 and -002 (project creation)

CCSDS Secretariat, CESG Chairs,

Attached and also listed below please find resolutions for the creation of the Abstract Event Definition project and for the creation of the Service Management Comment Data Entities project.  The issuance of these resolutions was indicated during both the spring 2018 CESG and CMC meetings.

CSS-R-2018-05-001, Resolution concerning creation of project for Abstract Event Definition

The CSS Area,

CONSIDERING that, there is no definition of an abstract event for tracking of spacecraft;

and CONSIDERING that at least the MOIMS Navigation WG and the CSS Cross Support Service Management Working group have a need for a common event definition;

and RECOGNIZING that the MOIMS Navigation WG and the CSS Cross Support Service Management Working group have coordinated and identified the elements needed for an abstract event definition;

REQUESTS that the CCSDS Secretariat initiate a CMC poll for creation of the project entitled "Abstract Event Definition -- Data Format for Specifying Events" as defined in the CWE framework.

CSS-R-2018-05-002, Resolution concerning creation of project for Service Management Common Data Entities

The CSS Area,

CONSIDERING that, common data entity definitions are applicable for all CSS Area Service Management Data Format Blue Books;

and RECONIZING these common data entity definitions have been prototyped as part of the Simple Schedule Format recommendation development;

REQUESTS that the CCSDS Secretariat initiate a CMC poll for creation of the project entitled "Cross Support Service Management -- Common Data Entities" as defined in the CWE framework.
