Dear Jean-Marc, Gippo, and Harald,

Attached are the proposed dispositions for your RIDs on CCSDS 320.0-P-6.1 . There was some amount of overlap, so I am sending all of these to you so that you can see that all of your concerns are addressed and satisfy yourselves that the resulting procedure is robust in the face of nominal, and off-nominal, cases.

The proposed final version, except for the new SANA SCID assignment screen shot, is also attached, as is a screenshot of this new registration page. Since the web page employs built-in pull down menus and dynamic behavior this static view does not show all of the features.

There is also some on-going clean-up of the language on the web-page to make it clearer and this may well continue as people start to use it. This is why pg B-1 says "This is provided only as an example of the sort of information needed to make a SCID request. The on-line form, found at http://sanaregistry.org/r/spacecraftid/spacecraftid.html, may differ from this example and the website should be used for all official requests by the Agency Representative."

After your concurrence with the dispositioning of these RIDs, I will directly propose the document for publication, since the changes are not of any great significance to the substance of the document.

Best regards, Peter

Subject: Late RID on CCSDS 320.0-P-6.1 CCSDS Spacecraft Identification Field Code Assignment Control Procedures, Draft Recommended Practice, Issue 6.1

Peter,
today I got the following question "I have an industry that want to request a SCID: who shall they contact?".
Checking the pink book I found that I was not really able to reply.

In support of the questions and the doubts generated when checking I have produced (in form of RID, attached here) some comments about statements that look conflicting to me.

Thank you for considering how to reply correctly to the question above.

Ciao

Gian Paolo
