Please find attached the SEA resolution concerning the Sec WG request to retire two of their older Green Books and change them to Silver status.  This requests that a CESG Poll be created to approve this action.

SEA-R-2016-01-001  Request to retire SEC WG documents CCSDS 350.2-G and CCSDS 350.3-G

The System Engineering Area,

CONSIDERING that:

The Security WG has has reviewed their existing documents, and that
The WG has identified that 350.2-G (Encryption Algorithm Trade Survey) and 350.3-G (Authentication/Integrity Algorithm Issues Survey) were both published to provide the background and rationale for the Algorithms Blue Book, and that
These documents are no longer current and no longer provide useful information for the community.

And RECOGNISING that:

The CCSDS Policy for retiring a document requires the AD to request approval from the CESG and CMC (Sec B2.4);

RESOLVES to request:

That the Secretariat create the necessary poll for the CESG to approve retiring these two SEA Sec WG documents.
