Dear CMC and CESG members,

The CCSDS does not yet have anything like a formal procedure for soliciting candidates for new (or re-started) working groups. That said, as the SEA AD I would like to solicit candidates from the CMC and the CESG to chair the SEA System Architecture WG that is now being proposed for re-start. If you have qualified candidates that you would like to propose please send their names to me no later than 5 October 2015.

If you have other persons who are interested in the work, but not interested in leading the effort, I would also like to solicit their names. As described in the last two CESG reports to the CMC the overall body of work that is proposed includes:

  * Create CCSDS Reference Architecture for CMC (“cartoon” and formal model)
  * Develop a formal ontology for CCSDS and related XML schema guidelines
  * Refresh Reference Architecture for Space Data Systems (RASDS)
  * Develop a process for sustaining the reference architecture, ontology and schema
  * Develop a CCSDS wide registry management policy to guide the WGs and SANA operator

I would like to meet as a WG at the upcoming meeting in Darmstadt. Even if we cannot accomplish that we will meet again as a BoF.

Best regards, Peter
