SEA generally supports the idea of using a cloud based approach for interoperability testing.

The Sec WG, in particular, thinks it will be very useful for testing of security solutions at several levels because it removes the need for establishing what amount to "controlled security holes" in various firewalls in order to do testing. This, in itself, should lower the barrier to testing. This would be relevant for SLDS, network layer security, and the testing of future key management and credentials mechanisms.

The D-DOR does not have any particular use for the cloud approach because their primary interoperability interfaces can currently be handled by file and email exchange. There is no need for machine to machine direct interoperability.

The SAWG BoF does envision some new capabilities that might well be hosted on cloud based web servers for prototyping purposes. These services would, for the most part, later be housed on the SANA or the CCSDS web site itself, but deployments for testing could be done in the cloud so as not to perturb the operational systems.

Regards, Peter

Dear all,
Please remember to assess any potential candidate in your area as pilot project for the Cloud based interoperability Test Bed

Our next webex is on 13th March

I would like to close some technical discussions, because we will have an interesting CESG meeting on the 30th March with many newcomers
