[CESG] CCSDS Strategic Plan Website Ready

Gian Paolo,

I suggest that the CESG discuss this further within the CESG Meeting in London. What we are trying to avoid is a lengthy process to make simple changes.

Currently the system is setup to do the following:
1) ADs have the ability to edit their “Area’s Content” and “Area’s Links" at any time. Note - Versioning will be turned on, so that changes can be viewed.
2) Nestor and the Secretariat can edit the “Top Level Content”. Any changes to those entires will require “Approval” via CMC Poll.

One suggestion…perhaps the “Area Content” should be locked down tighter, but the “Area Links” should be left open as is? This would mitigate your example below.

Thanks,

Brian

Nestor, Brian,
just a silly question, how are changes tracked?
Is there any kind of review process marking/sending e.g. items for approval?

I mean, what would it happen if I write in the Strategic Plan Website that SLS Area is the best and all areas shall obey to SLS? :o)

Regards

Gian Paolo

Dear all,

Brian has completed the work to deploy the whole strategic Plan in the CWE

It is now ready for ADs review

What shall the ADs do?
1. Modify / add text in the area goals
2. Check the links of all Area published books
3. Check the links of all Area in production books and if needed modify the schedule (there are a lot of Projects with a very optimistic shedule)
4. Check for missing future Projects and add them also as Projects in the CWE with a start date in the future (and with a realistic schedule, not a 2 year production elapsed time)

The review shall be completed prior to your departure to London

ciao
nestor

Nestor,

Sorry for the 2 day delay. It was rather difficult implementing the entire “Complete Strategic Plan” page.

Anyways, everything is ready to be reviewed now. Each AD can edit their areas goals and links under the corresponding “Admin Links” on the left side of the page. Those links are the backend databases for all of the links on the top of the page. We have both a “Complete Strategic Plan” and “Grouped” Version.

For more information, please see the attached procedures that Karen Tuttle has put together.

Thanks,

Brian Oliver
