Dear all,
Action CMC-A-2014-11-04 was placed upon me during the last CMC meeting
"Nestor Peccia was requested to review the Framework new project
guidelines, specifically the schedule template [elapsed time between start
and end of project], and inform IT support if changes are needed."
My suggestions are as follows:
Replace
? Internal WG document development and review should be complete within 18
months of project start date
by
? Internal WG document development and review should be complete within 18
- 24 months of project start date
Replace
? Secretariat staff will require a minimum of 2 months to process the
draft for the first agency review (this processing will include any
formatting and approval polls necessary to release the draft)
by
? Secretariat staff will require a minimum of 2 months up to a maximum of
4 months to process the draft for the first agency review (this processing
will include any formatting and approval polls necessary to release the
draft)
Add the following after
? Following successful completion of all necessary agency reviews and
prototype demonstrations, secretariat staff will require a minimum of 45
days to circulate the final draft book to the CESG and CMC for final
approval to publish
- CESG and CMC polls for final approval to publish will require a minimum
of 45 days up to a maximum of 90 days
Rationale: This enhanced range fits with the actual average times to
complete a Project (i.e. 3 to 4 years)
I consider the action with this e-mail as closed
