Mike,
        first of all let me thank you for the precious hints about web 
alerts.

I proposed the agenda item as <cesg-all/ccsds-all alert for new 
publications> to respect original Enrico's input, but I agree with you 
(and verbally Enrico did too) that such messages should/could be limited 
to the cesg-all mailing list.

Even with the web alert capabilities, I would still prefer a cesg-all 
message whenever a book is realy published (i.e. some days after the CMC 
poll closure).

CESG-all might be appropriate, but CCSDS-all has about 1500 recipients, 
many of whom are merely remote observers.  It?s not appropriate for 
CCSDS-all. 
 
If by ?on line in the CCSDS web pages? you mean published books, each 
individual can go to the CCSDS blog and set up an alert to get that 
notification.  Actually, I would think all CESG and WG chairs would want 
to set this up.  This capability was announced to CCSDS-all some time ago.

Also, setting up New Work Items alerts should be interesting to CESG and 
WG chairs.

Dear All, 
        I would like to support the following request from Enrico: 

It would be nice if CESG could endorse following request: whenever a book 
is put on line in the CCSDS web pages, all CCSDS list should receive such 
notification!!! 

Therefore I do suggest including in CESG Agenda (under item #5. Other CESG 
discussions)  a bullet for <cesg-all/ccsds-all alert for new 
publications>.
