Peter,

Darmstadium and ESOC are only 10 min apart by tram;
Yes, all of the meetings that week are in ESOC

Cheers,
Juan

Juan,

How long should I allow to travel from the Darmstadium to ESOC by bus? I
booked a hotel next to the Darmstadium on the basis that the meeting would be
there.

Am I right thinking that all of the CMC meetings and the SC13 meeting will be
in ESOC?

Cheers

Peter

Mike,

some late thoughts about the agenda:

the CMC meeting will take place in ESOC, not in the Darmstadium as it
   appears on the agenda
It might be convenient to finish the Monday meeting at 17:00 h in order to
give enough time for the tour, going back to the hotel and getting to the
restaurant at 19:30 h. I leave it up to you but it would be good if we
could either compress the agenda or move something to the next days.

I apologise for the lateness of this input

Regards
Juan

Howdy, Jean-Marc,

      Ø - Item 5 - IOAG report

Let’s coordinate that directly with Adrian, separately.

Ø - Follow up of discussions in Moscow ?

I intended to address the “management of resources” topic with agenda item
15.2, CMC Resources/Participation project.  That specifically is the online
tool that we are prototyping for each agency to indicate the level of
support/resources that they commit to each project.  In that discussion, we
can have a broader discussion about the overall resources process and the
“big picture”.   However, I notice…  (1) 15.2 occurs on the second day when
the CESG is not there, and (2) Item 6 (Mission Ops) on the first day is being
cancelled.  I think I will move the Resources topic up to the first day so
that the CESG can participate.

I propose the following for Agenda item 6:
6.            Resources topics
6.1  Secretariat Resources Project prototype – Kearney
6.2  Roundtable discussion of resources process - All
6.3  “Big Picture” integration of new
projects/WGs/interdependencies – Soula

Sound OK?

In view of your input on the Procedures topic, I will reduce the Procedures
discussion to allocate more time for the Resources discussion.

Ø - Item skipped in mid-term teleconf - reporting on standard infusion

Agreed.  I will put it on the agenda.  Can I also list your name as speaker,
so you can discuss the CNES spreadsheet as the template for all others to
follow?

Updated agenda (v4) incorporating those suggestions is attached.  Copying the
CESG.

Best regards,

Bonjour Mike

quick comments / suggestions on the agenda :

- Item 5 - IOAG report
                * will Adrian give the liaison report or should I be prepared
to do it ?
                * if me on IOAG side, who will report on progress made on
CCSDS side, following recent correspondence ?
                * I don't believe there is much to say on Service Catalogues
(no IOAG action was taken to update them)
                * on SISG and MOSCG there are just plans to revive them next
summer, in particular pending feedback or inputs from CCSDS
                * typo on OLSG
- Follow up of discussions in Moscow ?
                * at the F2011 CMC, we have initiated discussions on
"Management on Resources" and "Big Picture"(16.4 and 16.5 of F2011 minutes)
                * the subject was deferred to next teleconf or meeting :
that's where we are.
                * on the first one, shall we have a feedback on the exercice
made on the CSS Area ?
                * shall we then continue the discussion on how the CMC may
better manage resources ?
creation of new projects, of new WG, interdependencies…
this led to the "Big Picture" concept
                * should we make this an agenda item (not only a report on
actions) ? who will report on progress made ?
- Item skipped in mid-term teleconf
                * JAXA had submitted the idea of a discussion about reporting
on standard infusion (see attached email exchanges)
                * for information, please find attached the most recent CNES
spreadsheet (will be part of CNES report)
                * is it in the agenda this time ?

Looking forward to meeting you all soon…

Best regards

FALL 2012 CMC MEETING, 10-12 DECEMBER, KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLORIDA, USA

Arrangements have been finalized for NASA to host the Fall meeting in
December at KSC. Meanwhile, the IOAG will be meeting at the same location on
December 12-14. On the afternoon of December 12, we will have a joint
meeting of the CCSDS CMC and the IOAG. Details will be presented at the
Darmstadt CMC meeting.

This is a bit of an experiment, because we will be meeting on the NASA
facilities. There will be security information that foreign visitors will
need to turn in 45 days prior to the meeting. However, for a meeting
anywhere in the US, most foreign national visitors require much longer than
that to get visas. So the rationale is that there will not be any
last-minute foreign visitors added to the list anyway. Hopefully this will
work, and it could be a “pathfinder” approach for more cost-effective
technical plenary meetings in the USA.

The location at Kennedy Space Center will be on the 5th floor of the
Operations Support Building 2 (OSB2). This is a very nice facility and
location, generally used by VIPs to view launches (now, meaning expendable
launches from Cape Canaveral). Unfortunately, there are currently no
launches scheduled for our meeting timeframe.

I look forward to seeing my colleagues and friends in Darmstadt soon!

Best regards,
