I prefer Monday afternoon for the forum, even if abbreviated.
Scheduling the forum for Wednesday afternoon would mean SLS OPT's plans to meet for 2.5 days would require meeting on four separate days, e.g., Monday pm, Tuesday, Wednesday am, and Thursday am. This would be cumbersome and more expensive for the participants, and we'd already agreed to meet on Tu/We/Th, so some people may have started booking their travel based on this. Sorry if I jumped the gun on the planning -- I just didn't know that this kind of change was being suggested.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [CESG-All] [RESPONSE REQUIRED] CCSDS Fall 2026 Common Ground Forum II - Schedule Update
Importance: High
Dear CCSDS Area Directors, WG Chairs, and Deputies,
As you may already be aware, for the Fall 2026 meeting in Matera this October, we are including the Common Ground Forum, which is now part of every in-person meeting held twice per year. The theme for this Forum will be:
Interoperability Standards for the New Space Economy
We would like your input on the scheduling of the Forum, which will span a half-day block. The options are Monday (Day 1) or Wednesday (Day 3). The attached slide outlines the pros and cons for each option.
On Monday, the theater is available only until 3:00 PM. This creates a tight window, though it may still be possible for WG members to still hold technical meetings after 3:00 PM.
If held on Wednesday, ASI has identified a local aerospace organization interested in hosting the Forum, providing a valuable opportunity for deeper industry engagement.
Please reply within 24 hours, as we need to make a decision as soon as possible.
The question is: Do you prefer the Forum to be held on Monday or Wednesday afternoon? Please respond assuming you will be present at the Forum.
Thank you.
Sami, Daniel, Shannon (and other troublemakers)
