[Cesg-all] CCSDS OMG membership

Dear all,

There has been a controversial issue with OMG space group. They work on competing standards for M&C that overlap with SM&C books.
They took some of SM&C concepts and incorporated it in their standards. I do not recall the names of the OMG standards (this was at the time of Dan Smith as the SM&C WG chair that caused a strong reaction).
I believe there were attempts towars a similar move for Mission Planning.

My understanding is without being a member we as CCSDS have no say. I would recommend we keep the membership to at least have a vote.

I believe that this was a relationship that Peter Shames had going back at least 20 years or more.  I suggest contacting Peter.
