The following draft CCSDS Recommended Standard has been placed on line for CCSDS Agency review:

     CCSDS 142.0-P-1.1. Non-Coherent Optical Communications Coding 
                        and Synchronization. Pink Sheets. Issue 
                        1.1. November 2023.

DOCUMENT DESCRIPTION:  This Recommended Standard specifies channel coding and synchronization schemes for free space optical communications systems used by space missions. The current draft adds Optical On/Off Keying for high photon flux links.

The due date for receipt of review comments by the CCSDS Review Coordinator is 30 January 2024.  Area Directors and WG/BOF Chairs may submit review comments directly to the CCSDS Review Coordinator.  More information is available at the Web site identified below.
