Hello,
As of June 1st, we have put into production the new SANA platform and
web site (available at http://sanaregistry.org). This has been a
complete rewrite based on the requirements from the Registry Management
Policy (RMP) CCSDS 313.1-Y-1. As there
are too many changes, let us highlight a few:
- almost every object in any registry has a globally unique identifier,
which is assigned from
the ISO standard Object Identifier (OID) tree. These OIDs enable
unambiguous cross-referencing
objects between registries
- any assignment request will require an account. Any individual who
already has a registered email in
any SANA registry automatically has an account. A user only has to go
to the
login page and then select « Forget my password » to retrieve their
password.
- As defined in the RMP, YB 313, a new data model has been implemented
for the registries. The
major change is that there is now specific Organization and Contacts
registries that are to be
re-used and extended as needed when new roles or data types are defined.
In addition,
spacecraftIds used to be a single registry, now it is split
into the id registry itself, and a separate registry for the spacecraft
registry.
- Spacecraft Id (SCID) requests now require the requestor to specify the
frequency bands that are in use.
Coming in next releases are:
- synchronisation with organization and contact databases of CCSDS
- improved user experience (UX) look and feel
- more editing functions and automation will be available
