Regarding the changes to MOIMS Mission Planning and Scheduling (Previously Mon – Tuesday), these changes did not work for the Mission Planning and Scheduling group. Dr. Sarkarati (cc’d above) requested to retain the Thursday and Friday meetings, as the prior change was suggested by the Secretariat to meet the 12 room limit. I would recommend, based upon the discussions I have already had with Mission Planning and Scheduling, it would make sense to move SEA-SAWG WG. With that said, would you like to attempt to trade dates with SEA-SAWG and another WG? If so, please let me know which dates for this move would amount to the least conflict with the other SEA WG meetings and I can review the scheduled meetings for the other WG’s and send an email. This must be expedited as we plan to open registration next week. I do not have any particular problem with moving the SAWG earlier in the week, but I really need two days of contiguous meetings, not ½ day here and ½ day there. That is totally unacceptable. My understanding is that there is a meeting room crunch and that is the driving concern. It would have worked fine for the SAWG if the SAWG and MPS meetings had just been swapped. However, having them on the same days just does not work at all. I think it is up to the meeting organizers to sort this out. I have no way to resolve this myself. I have provided to David on 6 June our input that the MP&S WG will meet on Thursday and Friday. Meeting earlier during the week creates other overlaps, hence not possible for us. That worked just fine and it was what we requested. A key member of both WG is Roger Thompson and it just does not work at all if they are scheduled at the same time. I thought we made that clear in earlier discussions, but it seems to have been overlooked. In the latest schedule (Draft3), which I did not check when it came out because there had been no issue earlier, you have moved the MOIMS Mission Planning and Scheduling to Thurs and Friday. That just does not work at all since both meetings will then lose ½ of Roger’s valued contribution, or one will lose all of it. Please find a way to make the needed adjustments. At this time there is currently one too many rooms booked on Thursday a.m. I recommend that we may be able to execute this on the ground while we are in Rome if you are willing to risk the chance that one of our smaller groups may not have a separate facility – namely D-DOR I suspect. Otherwise, we will require one group to move to an available time slot. Available time slots are: Monday a.m. only (2 rooms) Tuesday all day (1 room) Friday p.m. only (3 rooms) Thank you, -David David Ross, MPA, PMP ASRC Federal ph.: 240-565-2231 email: David.Ross at nasa.gov [attachment "CCSDS Room planning July_Draft2-SEA.pdf" deleted by Mehran Sarkarati/esoc/ESA] [attachment "CCSDS Room planning July_Draft3- SAWG issue.pdf" deleted by Mehran Sarkarati/esoc/ESA] _______________________________________________ CESG-All mailing list CESG-All at mailman.ccsds.org https://mailman.ccsds.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cesg-all This message and any attachments are intended for the use of the addressee or addressees only.
