Dear All,
I just saw this for the first time. Some of you who live in the UK or Europe may wish to attend this workshop. As I read their blurb I suspect that much of what we have developed, and much of what we have learned, will be directly applicable. If any of you can go I would like to hear the outcome. I separately reached out to the organizers to let them know of our existence and to tell them a little about what we have done.
Regards, Peter

Dear Colleague,
I just wanted to let you know about an upcoming event: Interoperable Open Architecture 2015<http://www.ioaevent.com/?utm_source=external&utm_medium=externalmail&utm_campaign=20579.004++IOA+2015+-+00.+Externals&utm_term=homepage&utm_content=Text&MAC=20579.004_OMG_eblast2&disc=20579.004_OMG_eblast2> (29 April - 1 May, London, UK).
This forum will bring together subject matter experts and invested parties from the international community to discuss ongoing projects, from many different perspectives. Primarily, the benefit of IOA 2015 is to outline common concerns, challenges and best practice from across the domains where an architecture driven approach is advantageous; from vehicles and C4ISR to robotics and avionics.
Interoperable Open Architecture 2015<http://www.ioaevent.com/redForms.aspx?id=389080&frmType=Brochure&mLoc=F&sform_id=316492&isbrochure=true&m=2502&eventid=1001040&utm_source=external&utm_medium=externalmail&utm_campaign=20579.004++IOA+2015+-+00.+Externals&utm_term=agenda&utm_content=Text&MAC=20579.004_OMG_eblast2&disc=20579.004_OMG_eblast2> will look at:
* The technical detail behind the development of standards and common requirements to enable ‘plug and play’
* Implementing open architecture for new platforms and programmes: Lessons learned from the flagship efforts in the US and UK
* The potential for transformation of defence procurement and the benefits and disadvantages of open architecture for both the military and industry communities
* Ease of use and operator effectiveness on the front line
* Cross-over practices and lessons-learned from the civilian sphere as open architectures are rolled out across land, air and naval systems
