Interface specified in this Recommended Practice
shall not be assumed to be backward compatible
with specifications in earlier versions of the
Recommended Practice.". Therefore the statements
marked G1 or G2 (and not applicable to G3) cannot

CONDITIONS/COMMENTS:
Peter Shames (Approve with Conditions): Pg 1-8
lists a Pink Sheet doc as a normative reference.
This should be fixed to reference the final doc once it is approved.
Gian Paolo Calzolari (Approve with Conditions):
As backward compatibility implications for
Generation 1 are stated, include also implications for Generation2.
From the changes I can see in these pink sheets
it looks to me that the markings [Gn:] / [Gn,m:]
are never used in this document. Is this correct?
If yes, why stating about those markers? Would it
be simpler to omit that part or state that the
convention is set but not needed yet till this version?
Please clarify.
