How about recording one of these sessions and putting the video up on CWE?

Nestor,

If you are a WG Chair and/or DAD/AD, it is difficult to find the 4 ½ hours for the boot camp, during the technical week of meetings (which are the only times the boot camp is offered), especially in the newer 4 day meeting week format. I am more than happy to attend the boot camp provided it can be done in such a way so as not to detract from other CCSDS obligations during the technical week of meetings.

Here are some options perhaps to consider:

1) WG Chair/”Sinners” Study Hall: Have the people walkthrough the boot camp material (assuming it is up to date) at a time convenient for them. As far as I know the material is at:

http://cwe.ccsds.org/cesg/docs/Forms/AllItems.aspx?RootFolder=%2fcesg%2fdocs%2fBoot%20Camp%20Slides&FolderCTID=0x0120008F128D83E4774A40906DD60662AC3B27

Altogether its ~60 slides.

2) Re-schedule Thursday session: An option that I believe could be made to work for the CSS area would be to reschedule the Boot Camp on the closing day of the technical week to start at 1500 or 1530 hrs. which I believe would allow for a more less successful CSS closing plenary to occur. Perhaps the session could be compressed to no more than three hours. This would not be my favorite approach and I suspect it may not work with regard to other area closing plenaries for some of the other "sinners" that you have indicated.

3) Agency internal boot camps: Internal to NASA it looks it may be possible have the boot camp offered outside of the regular meeting week schedule. That would be ideal for me (and I suspect some of the other WG chairs as well). Perhaps this could be considered for the other agencies/”sinners” as well.

Best regards,

-Erik
