You are hereby invited to participate in a Conjunction Assessment "Birds of a Feather" session conducted during the CCSDS Fall 2010 meetings at London, England.  A "Birds of a Feather" group (BOF) is a CCSDS entity that performs start-up studies and gestates technical proposals to the point where establishment of a Working Group may be decided.  

The BOF session is scheduled as follows:

Date:  Monday, 25-October-2010
Time:  13:30 to 17:00 British Summer Time
Location:  Conference Room G1 at the British Standards Institute

The purpose of the Conjunction Assessment BOF is to discuss the attached Concept Paper and determine whether or not there is sufficient interest to propose that the CCSDS Member Agencies commit resources to the development of an applicable CCSDS Recommended Standard (Blue Book).  If the level of interest is deemed sufficient, and the goals align with those of the CCSDS, we will work to modify the charter of the Navigation Working Group so as to add an appropriate work item.  Note that any revisions to the Working Group Charter must be reviewed and approved by the CCSDS Engineering Steering Group and the CCSDS Management Council prior to the commencement of any technical standards development.

Matters will be expedited if participants become familiar with the Concept Paper prior to the meeting.
