The following draft CCSDS Recommended Standard has been placed on line for 
CCSDS Agency review:

      CCSDS 714.0-P-1.1.  Space Communications Protocol Specification
                          (SCPS)--Transport Protocol (SCPS-TP).
                          Pink Sheets.  January 2006.

DOCUMENT DESCRIPTION:  This draft update to the  Space Communications 
Protocol Specification (SCPS) Transport Protocol (SCPS-TP) specification:
   - adds optional support for Selective Acknowledgements (SACK) and
Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN);
   - defines semantics to extend SCPS-TP signaling to allow optional
inclusion of vendor- and community-specific options.

Additionally, some ambiguities in the original specification are clarified:

   - clarification regarding the inclusion/position of compressed short-form
SNACK options in compressed SCPS-TP headers (the position of the
compressed SNACK option within the header is given);
   - clarification of what connection identifier is transmitted in
compressed headers (the one sent to the peer during the SYN exchange);
   - clarification of what N-user protocol ID is used to calculate the
pseudo header checksum when header compression is in use (decimal 105).


The due date for receipt of review comments by the Review Coordinator is 
2006-5-22.  Area Directors and WG/BOF Chairs may submit review comments
