<FONT COLOR="#000080">It has been a long time since we exchanged our last correpondence.<BR>

<FONT COLOR="#000080">The main purpose of this message is to send you, in your role as the <BR>
Chairman of ISO TC20/SC14 Subcommittee, the attached CCSDS-ISO <BR>
TC20/SC13 formal letter, with the explicit intention to serve as an update to <BR>
the basic and formal common understanding we could settle with you, last <BR>
year. <BR>

<FONT COLOR="#000080">The attached letter reflects the general status and the coming step of the <BR>
on going ODM related Liaison work which, we understand, is in its normal <BR>
track among the three involved parties. Summing it up, the attached letter <BR>
covers three basic points:<BR>

<FONT COLOR="#000080">1. The importance of ISO TC20/SC14 (WG3) participation in the on going <BR>
review of the ODM doc. CCSDS 502.0-P-1.1 and, as possible, also in its, as <BR>
possible, desired closure at the time of the coming CCSDS NAV WG meetings <BR>
to be held in Berlin, Germany, from 13 to 17 October 2008;<BR>
</FONT> <BR>
<FONT COLOR="#000080">2. The importance of</FONT> <FONT COLOR="#000080">ISO TC20/SC14 (WG3) participation in the creation of <BR>
interoperable ODM prototypes, expected to be derived from the current <BR>
stage of the CCSDS 502.0-P-1.1 document;<BR>
</FONT> <BR>
<FONT COLOR="#000080">3. A reminder on the coming step of our joint ODM Liaison plan that will <BR>
hopefully lead to a new ISO 26900 Standard on ODM, considering that it is <BR>
planned to result from a new item to be opportunely considered as part of <BR>
the ISO TC20/SC14 Program of Work.<BR>
