<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif;color:#1F497D">There is a blue book for this (CCSDS 506.1-B-1).  Section 4.2 defines the observation header details. I don't think it quite matches what was sent (for example, there is no “V” or
 version line which the blue book calls out).  Note that the observation header is quite short (which is also the case in the blue book).   The majority of the file is then taken up with scan records, which I think is then the domain of DDOR proper. And not
 necessarily something that would concern TGFT per se.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif;color:#1F497D"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif;color:#1F497D">In general though this brings up a question of how much of this metadata would be brought "outside" of the file to be transferred by TGFT. My initial thinking is that given that
<a name="_MailEndCompose">the DDOR WG has already defined a fair amount of metadata that is apparently used quite successfully that we really don't need much for TGFT. This is based on the assumption that the job for TGFT is simply to move the files from point
 A to point B and provide some very basic metadata as to what the file is about that can then be used for subsequent decisions as to what to do with the file. Under that assumption, it seems to me that the basic metadata re TGFT would be:<o:p></o:p></a></span></p>
