It has come to my attention that some members of this mailing list may not have seen the Final Communiqué from the recently held Interoperability Plenary (IOP-3). I have attached it. On page 5, you will find the position of space agency senior leaders on the work of the Optical Link Study Group, which I have copied below:<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'>The IOP-3 encourages the member agencies to prepare for optical communications as the next<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'>evolution of space communications; therefore:<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'>1. The IOP recognizes the good work of the OLSG and the benefits of developing<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'>interoperability in the domain of optical communications.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'>2.
