[Sis-SCPS-INTEREST] Data Rate problems: collisions are gone, but I still have the same data rate!!

Well, thanks to Otto Solares' advise, I switched to switches (and 
loopback on the remote side), and indeed I'm not connecting with full 
duplex, and I get 0 collisions on both sides!!  How Exciting!!!!

Unfortunately, I'm still getting the same data rates, so collisions have 
nothing to do with it... dammit...

Actually, I *am* seeing something of a difference, the variance among 
transfers is much smaller now; I'm seeing 189KB to 203KB/sec, with most 
running 191/192... *much* more consistent than before, but much lower 
than I expect.  This may be related to my configuration settings, which 
is where I EXPECT errors to be at this point. 

Time to do more studying.  Thank you all VERY much for your advise and 
insights!!
