I have encountered duplication of packets in another context (i..e. not
related to SCPS-TP), but my findings just might be of help to you.
The cause was my test setup: The two computers in question were connected to
an Ethernet minihub that, in turn, was connected to a router in our Intranet.
The minihub sent a copy of the packet to the destination, and also a copy to
the router. The router subsequently sent a second copy back to the
destination computer. The destination thus received 2 copies of all packets.
I seem to recall that ACKs were not duplicated, but I am not sure, and not
sure why that would be. It is all some time ago....
Hope this is useful
