CFDP fans. The work items in the charter for the CFDP Revisions Working
Group have been completed (modulo a small amount of Green Book editing
I need to do to satisfy publication poll conditions), so it is just about
time to put the Working Group into hibernation. But Felix raised
an interesting point of technical discussion that I think we might spend
some time on during these Fall technical meetings.</span></p>

Earth Observation missions with very high downlink rates. While we currently
believe that this concept does not (necessarily) require changes to the
CFDP standard itself, it might be interesting to present the concept to

Actually, we aim at standardising a Return CFDP PDU Cross-Support

all. With the CCSDS fall meetings coming up soon, I would like us
to reach some consensus on next steps for the CFDP Revisions Working Group.
Because all items of the WG’s Charter have been completed, I don’t
plan to schedule a virtual meeting of the WG next month; the only question
on the table, I think, is whether to terminate the WG at this point or
instead to place it in a “dormant” (hibernation) state, much like the
Voice WG.</span></p>

SIS WG chairs agree that the latter is preferable: more work on CFDP will
