Hello Javier,

The CSSM WG is meeting in the WE-Discover room. There are 10 of us in our room and we have 3 spare chairs in the room. Do you think the three spare chairs is enough and if so, should we plan on meeting at the WE-Discover room tomorrow morning?

Best regards,
-Erik

Hello Javier,

Very good. How about we plan for perhaps the later half of Wednesday morning of the meetings week? Assuming the traditional mid-morning break, perhaps we could schedule for 11:00 – 12:00 or so on that day?

Best regards,

-Erik

Hi Erik,

Many thanks for your email.

The DDOR WG will meet in person and also had plans to meet with your WG, so your email comes at the right time.

Wednesday is fine. I still need to work on the DDOR WG's agenda, so feel free to pick the time.

Best Regards,

       Javier

Dear DDOR WG Chairs,

With the CCSDS fall 2022 meetings be arranged to have actual face-to-face meetings, it strikes me that we may have an opportunity for a joint session with regard to the CSS Area CSSM WG. When Jim Border was the chair of the DDOR WG we had some preliminary sessions on this, but that came to a halt during the pandemic mostly due to difficulties for coordinating the CSSM WG virtual meetings across many time zone and then arranging/coordinating inter-working group joint meetings on top of that. That is not to say that the CSSM WG ignored inter WG considerations, such as when it comes to looking at DDOR activities with regard to service management standards. The CSSM WG continued to work on this as time allowed and the attached outlines an approach for coordinating DDOR standard and CSSM WG standards where they have overlapping concerns.

The fundamental consideration as I see it is to develop DDOR standards that can operate outside of the context of standardized service management but then as standardized service management is developed and adopted, also operate inside the context of standardized service management. At the same time, the CSSM WG is not at all expert re DDOR observations and processing, and would prefer not to invent things outside of its area of expertise. Do you think the DDOR WG will be meeting in person? If so, perhaps we could arrange for having a joint session on Wednesday of the technical meetings week?

Best regards,

Erik Barkley
