concerning nomination of a new SM&C WG Deputy Chair</i></font>

<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">The CCSDS MOIMS Area</font>
<br>

<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">CONSIDERING that the current CCSDS SM&C
WG deputy chair, Roger Thompson has stated his wishes not to perform any
longer  this role,</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">CONSIDERING that Roger will continue
as an active member of the SM&C WG</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">and RECOGNIZING the excellent work that
Roger and the rest of the WG have done under his leadership,</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">would like to thank Roger for his service
as the MOIMS SM&C WG Deputy Chair;</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">and further </font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">RECOMMENDS that Mehran Sarkarati (ESA/ESOC)
be nominated as the SM&C WG Deputy Chair</font>
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">and REQUESTS that the CCSDS Secretariat
initiates asap  the required CESG poll for his approval.</font>
