David,
A few months ago a close friend had an experience that sounds a lot
like yours. He wound up having sextuple bypass. His recovery has been
remarkable. In fact, this week, he's leading a group of 60 on a cruise
in the Adriatic. I hope your prognosis is equally good.

Dear all I'm afraid that I will be out of action for the next few weeks
after a major operation (cardiac bypass) which is scheduled for
Wednesday this week. I found out about this late last week so it has
been a bit of a rush; although it is not an emergency it seems best to
get this dealt with as soon as possible. I should be out of email
contact for 2 weeks or so after Tuesday afternoon and then I'll fully
back in action in 6 weeks to 2 months, although probably not attending
physical meetings until the 2 month point.
Simon will be standing in for me in the mean time.
I look forward to returning to RAC in 3 weeks or so!
Regards
..David
