Submit Committee draft March 2008 Deliverable: Draft certification
document (White Book v0) Oct 2008 Deliverable: White Book v1 March 2009
Deliverable: Red Book review i.e. external review of draft including ISO
review 
 
Do you really think that we will have a White Book v0 ready by the end
of this month?

Dear RAC colleagues
 
Just a note to explain the previous message.
 
The change in the charter is that instead of mentioning a CCSDS "Blue"
Book, it now talks about producing a "Magenta" Book, which recent
changes in the CCSDS Procedures introduced. Both Blue and Magenta Books
are on the standards track so the RAC charter still plans parallel
progress into ISO. The Green Book which is described adds explanatory
text to the standard.
 
The email I sent was to the CCSDS Secretariat and should lead to the
RAC becoming an official working group.

I believe that the issues raised by Peter Shames have been resolved and
Nestor has asked me to send the updated RAC Charter to the Secretariat,
for approval of the RAC becoming a Working Group.
