[Moims-rac] Provenance

Hi All

 

I particularly like the suggestion below from Don about different types of
provenance. I think this could be very useful for differentiating the stages
in the lifecycle of digital objects over the process of their creation, use,
preservation and re-use.  

 

. This suggests we might want to define a few types of provenance, such as
'pre-submission provenance', 'ingest provenance', 'storage provenance', and
possibly 'dissemination provenance'. From this perspective, the TRAC is
saying that 'pre-submission' provenance is not required for TRAC
certification.
