RES: [Moims-rac] Taxonomies for Digital Repositories

Katia,
I believe that for this effort, toward an ISO certification standard,
to be successful it must be applicable to all types of digital
repositories that are concerned with long-term preservation. At its
most basic level it should be applicable to all types of digital
information. Therefore I don't believe a lot is gained by an early
focus on types of records reflecting their origin. It seems to me
that once there is agreement on a core set of 'criteria', then it
makes sense to test them against various scenarios including
different 'businesses'.
