Dear David, dear Dan,

concerning the one ESA RID on grouping
parameters I have received the following clarification from the author
Cèlia Yábar Vallès:

I checked a bit on the parameters grouping
that we proposed and I also discussed it with the colleague who mostly
had the idea. The idea of this comment was to ensure some consistency when
sending out some groups of parameters. Since the data can be exchanged
between machines, the concept could be to emulate some human logic when
sending out groups of parameters.

With functional grouping, what we meant,
for example was, on a simple example: you have the S/C MoI which are 6
elements, so all of them need to be filled up and be in the same group.
You could also have the mass and other parameters related to that, which
need to be coherent with each other. Or another example, if you provide
the drag or the solar radiation pressure coefficient you also need to group
it with for example the drag or the SRP area.
