Here is the "simple report" on Nav WG projects in progress as of our 06-Mar-2024 telecon. Overall progress is good.

500.0 Navigation Data - Definitions and Conventions Green Book (V.4): We discussed a comment from a reader related to operations on quaternions. A clarification will be provided to the reader, and a SANA registry will be updated with the resolution. A corrigendum to the Green Book will likely be prepared.


503.0 Tracking Data Message (TDM V.3): Pink Book Draft 2.0.2 is in progress, and progress is good. We plan to have an updated version to review by the time of the Spring Meetings.

505.0 Navigation Data Messages XML Specification (NDM/XML V.4): The NDM/XML V.4 document has been submitted to the Secretariat for Document Processing and Agency Review. Thanks for the resolution!. We are hopeful that the CESG/CMC "Approval for Agency Review" polls can commence soon. Schemas supporting this version are already on the SANA Registry by virtue of the fact that they were satisfactorily tested during the ADM V.2 prototyping.

507.0 Navigation Events Message (NEM V.1): There should be an initial White Book to discuss at the Spring 2024 meetings. Draft Spring agenda includes a time slot for discussion.

507.1 Launch Data Message: We discussed aspects of a first White Book. There may be an initial White Book to discuss at the Spring 2024 meetings, but not certain. Draft Spring agenda includes a time slot for discussion.

508.0 Conjunction Data Message (CDM V.2): A CESG Poll for "Approval for Agency Review" polls concluded with Conditions. A response to the Conditions has been filed, and accepted by the AD who levied the Conditions. The CMC poll can now commence.

508.2 Fragmentation Data Message: We discussed aspects of a first White Book. Draft Spring agenda includes a time slot for discussion.
