OAIS-Interoperability Framework (OAIS-IF) - Architectural Description<br>

This is our current project and involves continuing discussions developing a<br>
suite of standards allowing interoperable operations for archives and their<br>
providers and consumers.<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Other CCSDS Work Projects<br>
<br>
DAI has several pending updates to previous standards as well as several<br>
possible new projects in the OAIS-IF . Our intention was to be start the<br>
rather mundane up the existing documents once some of the previous projects<br>
completed. However, the issues between CCSDS and ISO have caused the<br>
current projects to linger around awaiting their ISO reviews. It also<br>
injects additional issues for some of the updates. We will likely choose<br>
to postpone those updates projects until we can determine if they will be<br>
able to be approved through ISO and what updates would be needed to obtain<br>
their approval.<br>
<br>
Additionally we hope to continue to move forward on OAIS-IF abstract and<br>
concrete interface or protocol standards that would support archive<br>
interoperability. We will likely commit most of our resources to continuing<br>
this work while CCSDS and ISO continue to resolve their issues.<br>

We welcome additional ideas and proposals for the development of other<br>
digital archiving and archive inoperability standards.<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>

your issues and questions and to make progress on our standards development<br>
